How Does a Company Determine Private Jet Prices?

It used to be only common for wealthy individuals to rent a private jet for personal and business travel due to the extreme private jet prices. This is no longer the case! The trend nowadays is slowly shifting from the super elite to the corporate masses. While not everyone can afford to charter a private jet, many companies in the industry offer affordable private jet prices which are quite competitive.

The obvious benefits of flying on private jets includes personalized service from staff and the flight crew, no long lines at the check-in counters, 24/7 service that includes holidays and direct flights to your intended location. I would have to say that the most important benefit is that you won’t have to worry about potential terrorist threats while you are in the air.

Most companies require that you book your flight in advance in order to have access to the best private jet prices. However, there are air charter companies that specialize in short notice flights; they are a bit more expensive to reserve, but at least your jet availability problem will be solved.

What is included in private jet prices? In other words, what do you get for your money? Well, private jets cater a more luxurious flying atmosphere than commercial flights. You and your passengers will have the entire jet to yourself; this is a great option for people who demand privacy. In addition to privacy, you will also be able to take advantage of full discretion. You don’t need a ticket that punches in your time of departure and you won’t be required to show up at the airport hours before your flight in order to complete the check-in and security process.Private Jet Prices

Rates for Renting a Private Jet

How are private jet prices determined? Well, this depends on a variety of factors such as destination, number of hours used and special pre-board requests. These requests may include a fully-stocked bar, gourmet meals, flower arrangements or choice of in-flight movies, just to name a few. Sometimes, outside variables will affect the rates such as catering, crew expenses, ground handling, landing fees, taxes for domestic flights or U.S custom immigration taxes. So far, the greatest variable would have to be the type of jet you wish to use for your travel needs.

There are three popular models that are used for charter flights: the Citation, the Gulfstream, and the Lear. The private jet prices vary for each of the different types of jets; probably the most economical is the Citation Jet with an average cost of around $1,860 per hour. This type of jet can carry up to six adults and is a perfect way to travel to those last-minute business meetings that are held in different cities.

The next largest jet, the Lear Jet can accommodate up to eight passengers and has ample room for storage. If you are taking a long trip, this jet will ensure that you have a comfortable flight experience. Private jet prices for an aircraft of this size typically start at approximately $2,500 per hour.

If you need a larger aircraft for your air travel needs, I suggest that you check out the Gulfstream Jet. This jet can accommodate up to fifteen adults and is equipped to travel at high speeds. Typical private jet prices for this type of aircraft start at approximately $5,000. This of course can be higher depending on what type of amenities you have requested for your scheduled flight.
