What exactly is a Challenger Jet?

Challenger jets are a new and exciting way to fly

The model 300 Challenger jet has a large cabin and is known for its high performance. This jet falls into the “super-midsize” private jet class. Other well known jets that are in this class are the Citation X and the Gulfstream G200. This challenger jet has room for up to eight passengers and can fly coast-to-coast nonstop. Due to the design of the aircraft, the direct operating costs are low, which makes this challenger jet quite popular.

The cabin of the Challenger jet 300 has seating arrangements in a double-club configuration (three seats can be swapped out for a 3-person couch, if desired).Every one of the passenger seats are fully adjustable and have fold-out tables as well as individual AC power plugs. Air conditioning keeps the passengers and pilots comfortable. The cabin has an open feel to it due to the low-heat LED overhead lights. The cabin stretches to a comfortable length of 16.5 feel with a height of 6.1 feet and a width of 7.2 feet. As you can see, there is plenty of room for the average passenger to stand up while on board. You will be able to store baggage up to 750 pounds on the challenger jet which will be stored in an exterior compartment. This compartment can be accessed in-flight through the enclosed lavatory. Additionally, if more storage space is necessary, a forward luggage closet can also be added. Challenger 300 Private Jet

The real enticement of this challenger jet is its range and payload qualifications. Up to eight passengers can fly 3,560 miles at a speed of .80 Mach - quite impressive for a jet of its class. This private jet can take off in 4,180 feet and climb to a cruising altitude of 37,000 feet in as little as fourteen minutes. With a flight ceiling of 45,000 feet, this jet can cruise through the skies avoiding bad weather and commercial air traffic.

The Challenger jet has an aerodynamic structure and most of the jet is made of aluminum. The landing lights used are high intensity discharge xenon lights and have a lifespan of more than 10,000 hours of usage. Maintenance and labor costs are cut down due to a software system that provides mechanics step-by-step instructions on finding and fixing any possible problems or issues. Now that is what I call, “on the cutting edge of technology.”

The Challenger jet 300 uses the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system, with four 12x10 inch LCD screens.  The EICAS (Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System) is standard on all challenger jets and provides engine performance information such as fuel flow, oil and turbine temperatures, torque, visual deicing and environmental control information.  Other systems include the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) and the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS II).  Important functions such as engine startup are almost completely automated.

Are you going to be taking a trip cross-country? This challenger jet would be a good fit for your flight. It will deliver you to your destination quickly and conveniently while you relax. If you are looking for high performance and excellent service, charter a challenger jet today!
